VOLUNTEER COMMITTEES

Anyone can make a difference in our children's growth, success, and well-being! Please look at the many opportunities available to enrich your child's education, decide to get engaged, and then contact our committee leaders!

Book Fair

Children and their families are welcome to browse the large selection of books and purchase their favorites when the library is transformed into a magical bookstore.  This event is in association with Scholastic Books and benefits the classrooms by helping provide much-needed reading materials for all classrooms.

Birthday Book Club

At the end of each month volunteers will invite students whose birthday fall that month to visit the library to sign a book of their choosing.  Students will buy the book and sign inside it with their message. The book will then be placed inside the library.  Books are approved by San Diego school district.

Organize stylists and parent volunteers for a fun-filled day so our students can start the new school year with a fresh look! Kids, parents, teachers, friends and the whole family can treat themselves to any of the following...a professional haircut, fresh nail color, and face painting.

Celebration of the Arts

To celebrate our visual and performing arts programs as part of our fundraising efforts, the AFP partners with Barnes and Noble bookstore to host an art display and music concert.  We raise money through book sales at Barnes and Noble and a restaurant fundraiser that evening.  Your family eats at a designated restaurant, the restaurant will return a portion of the proceeds from those sales to our school.
