Character Ed is a volunteer-led program at EBS to help instill key values and life skills in our students at every grade level.
Q: What does Character Ed teach?
A: At EBS, we align with the 7 Habits of Happy Kids by Sean Covey and the Leader In Me program. Each month we will focus on applying one ‘habit’ that will help students build traits like responsibility, perseverance, empathy and teamwork.

Q: What is required of me as a volunteer?
A: Each month, go into your child’s classroom and teach the pre-prepared lesson.

Attend a scheduled evening zoom with the Character Ed leader and download lesson plan and PowerPoint (~1 hour about every other month). Recordings will be available.

Coordinate with teacher for a good time to come into the classroom (15 min/month)

Teach the lesson and have fun with the activities! (1 hour/month)
